Hewlett-Packard has refreshed the EliteBook mobile workstation line with the release of the 14-inch HP Elitebook 8460w, 15.6? 8560w, and 17.3? 8760w.
The new laptops for engineers and content creators are based on Intels Second Generation Core i5 an i7 processors and include the Nvidia Quadro or ATI FirePro professional-class video cards, as well as up to 32GB of RAM.
HPs EliteBook 8560w and 8760w will be available with optional HP DreamColor displays, allowing more than 1 billion active color possibilities, and optional backlight keyboards. Additionally, the 8760w can accommodate up to three hard drives and supports RAID 5.
The mobile workstations feature an aerospace-inspired HP DuraCase casing with a radial-brushed gunmetal-colored lid, aluminum alloy hinges, and isle-style keyboards. The notebooks meet MIL-STD-810G ruggedness standards for drop, dust, vibration, and altitude.
Pricing for the 8460w, 8560w and 8760w starts at $1,299, $1,349 and $1,899 respectively. The laptops are expected to start shipping in the US next month.
