It really seems that the notebook to fight for the title of �MacBook Air killer� just bigger with the release of S9 super-thin notebook CES 2011 Samsung 13.3-inch is packed with 2'nd generation Intel Core CPU, also known as Sandy Bridge.

And, in fact, S9 really what it takes to challenge Apple with a colleague, given that he is an ultra-thin profile of 0.64 inches, while weighing only 3 pounds, is also partly due to the fact that it is made of materials known as Duralumin, usually found in advanced aircraft.

According to Samsung, Series 9 comes with a 13.3-inch LED-backlit display with a resolution of 1366�768 pixels, 400-nit brightness, 100,000:1 contrast ratio with 16 million colors, 160 degree wide viewing angle and a brightness of ambient light sensor that screen based on lighting conditions and adjusts surrounding areas reducing the user�s eyes.

Moving to a hardware configuration, it is interesting to note that the S9 is powered by Intel Core i5 second generation processor 2537M (1.40 GHz, 3MB, turbo to 2.3 GHz) with 4 GB of DDR3 memory and a maximum of 128GB Solid State Drive (SSD).

The device is based on HD GT2 Intel Integrated Graphics, and packet 3 watt (1.5W x 2) stereo speakers and a 1.5-watt subwoofer in a slim body, while the new lithium polymer low-power helps achieve up to 6 , average 5 hours battery stamina.

�It weighs less than 3 kg., The Samsung 9 Series is designed to stand out, but the idea of reimagining traditional notebooks,� said Scott Ledterman, marketing director at Samsung Mobile PC Business Enterprise Division.

�When designing a laptop premium Series 9, Samsung wants an unforgettable experience, with no restrictions. 9 Series Laptop succeeded in the style of performance, elegance and use in ultra thin and light package of convenience,� added Mr Ledterman.

Clearly, this is far from affordable, like the Samsung 9 series is scheduled to be available in February 2011, starting at $ 1,599.
