Smashing Magazine has this story on the RubyMotion development tool. This is an iOS development tool which allows you to develops apps using the Ruby language instead of Objective C. The tool is Mac OS X only and costs $199.There are more and more of these Objective C alternative tools coming out. I will try to mention the reasonably price options. Some that I have seen are ridiculously expensive.
